Spring is here! And what better way to celebrate the return of warmer weather than with fresh flowers! When we hear Spring, we think flowers. Tulips, peonies and daffodils are just a few of the flowers that remind us that Spring is upon us. Fresh flowers bring a new liveliness and energy to your home. They brighten up any space and help you celebrate the warmer weather that is finally here. We’re sharing our Spring blooms with you to celebrate the start of Spring!
Mere… Tulips are a quintessential sign of Spring! This cheery bulb comes in a range of colors that is sure to brighten any space in your home. I find that it is helpful to trim down some of the leaves and stems in order contain the bunch. I have placed my bouquet in a glass vase, and tied it with a burlap ribbon (from Paper Source) to add an extra pop. My tulips have been the centerpiece on my kitchen table for the past few days, and I must admit that I smile each I see them. And fun fact: tulips have a symbolic meaning of “perfect love.”
Kris… One of my all-time favorite blooms are hydrangeas. Depending on the climate, these bountiful blooms can arrive as early as mid-Spring and last into early-Fall. Wildly popular for weddings right now, hydrangeas are a simple flower that make a perfect little “poof” of a bloom. They also come in a variety of colors, ranging from deep blue to pristine white. I enjoy styling with them so much that I have two plants in my garden. It saves me time and money by not having to run to the store. Bri… A week ago, my former roommate – bless her heart – gifted me some gorgeous potted tulips “just because.” She encouraged me to plant them on my balcony. As with all flowers that enter my home, though, they eventually went to flora heaven. (Sorry, J, you know I have a brown thumb! Thank you for thinking of me. Love you!) For the time that they were here, they brought so much beauty and joy. What a lovely way to usher in springtime!
