We know it has been a while since you have heard from us, and boy have we all dropped the ball a bit! Truth be told, we have all had to take a little time away from the blog but have been busily engrossed in work, moves, travel to far away places…and a baby! Yes, the past three months have flown by for me personally since my daughter was born. I could write several blog posts on the past twelve weeks, but today’s has very little to do with my new status as a mommy.
Throughout my pregnancy and after I have been blessed to have amazing support from family and friends. Whether nearby or far away our home has been showered with beautiful gifts and cards of support. Somehow, despite the chaos of becoming a new mom, I managed to turn around Thank You cards within a week’s window.
What I never seemed to have time to do was go to the store to find new sets of Thank You stationary, so I needed to come up with another solution!
Enter the fabulous world of Etsy and Target!
On my numerous trips to Target to pick up Thank You cards I noticed a value pack box of blank note cards in fabulous colors! I loved the variety of colors and the fact that I could make one purchase and then not have to visit the aisle for a bit.
While the cards were so beautiful, they needed a little something to spice them up a bit and create a more personalized touch. I looked on Etsy and found a number of vendors that create personalized rubber stamps. Working with one such vendor, I had a stamp created with my name and a decorative “F” for my last name’s first initial and voila I had the perfect addition to my blank note cards.
To this day, I use this combination weekly. Whether for a last-minute Thank You card or a “I’m thinking of you” note to a friend, it is a handy way to create your own personalized stationary using just a few simple purchases.
Do you have a DIY you use for your Thank You notes? If so, we want to hear!
